1. Our Privacy Philosophy

PreStage is designed from the ground up to respect your privacy. We believe that your music collection, play habits, and playlist preparation are your personal business. PreStage is a stateless native macOS desktop application designed to run entirely locally.

2. 100% On-Device Processing

All audio parsing, metadata extraction, volume normalization, frequency structure mapping, and transitional pathfinding algorithms run strictly on your local machine.

• No audio files are ever uploaded to external servers or cloud services.
• No playlist structures or metadata comments (including DJA_JSON Vorbis comments) leave your device.
• All AI-powered features, including upcoming playlist critiques, utilize local macOS on-device language models (via Apple’s native FoundationModels framework).

3. macOS Sandbox Compliance

PreStage complies fully with Apple’s App Sandbox guidelines. The app only accesses files and folders that you explicitly select or import via the system file picker. We do not access your microphone, camera, network interfaces, location, or other sensitive hardware identifiers.

4. No Personal Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no user account registration requirements, no tracking cookies, and no tracking telemetry built into the PreStage macOS application.

5. Web Analytics

On this landing website, we host a lightweight, privacy-first analytics tool (GoatCounter) to measure website traffic and TestFlight waitlist conversions. It does not use tracking cookies, does not store personal identifier info, and complies fully with GDPR.
